Let’s cast our minds back to my first post of Blogmas What was it I said? I gave you some information about what Blogmas is, I told you about our advent calendars and, hmmm, oh yes, that’s it. That we have nice elves who sometimes deliver a treat but otherwise they don’t do anything else.
Well, that’s all gone out of the window! One evening, early on in the month, my husband decided to give the sofa a spray with some Scotch Gard. He took the cushions and throws off the sofa, and put them in a pile on the floor. The next morning our 4 year old daughter was delighted that our elves had messed up the living room and that they were naughty after all. She couldn’t wait to see what they did next. My husband didn’t have the heart to tell her that actually, it was just him spraying the sofa, so decided to stick with her story. I washed my hands of the whole thing from the start! Elf on the Shelf isn’t something to be taken lightly. Once you’ve started, that’s it for years to come - too much of a commitment for me.
